Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers seeks an Enrichment Coordinator for Inland Empire sites. This on-site role supports before/after school programs, coordinating daily schedules, activities, and staff to ensure a safe, engaging environment for youth.

You will supervise Lead Club Leaders and Jr. Club Leaders, manage attendance, field trips, and staff allocations while maintaining program quality and budget alignment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
• AA degree in Child Development preferred; 12 units of Child Development or similar.
• FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance and TB test clearance required.
• First Aid & CPR Certification (provided by WR).
• Must pass an assessment evaluating math, reading comprehension, and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students are in a safe environment and promote inclusivity.
• Lead and coach on-site team to deliver high-quality programs.
• Implement site protocols, safety regulations, and WR policies.
• Coordinate field trips with the field trip coordinator and parents.
• Maintain daily attendance and supervise staff schedules.

Program hours of operation: 12:00PM– 6:30PM (varies by location)

What We Do

Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Lifecraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 1,000 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 20,000 youth ages 4–18 annually in and from 110+ Title I schools across LA County!

Job Summary

An Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for the overall logistics of the before school or after school program at a site. Enrichment Coordinators serve as the liaison of the program’s needs and information to parents, community members, school administration, and staff. Enrichment Coordinators inspire and coordinate daily program schedules while ensuring a safe, fun, and positive environment for participants and staff. They oversee the daily program’s operations and ensure that all staff are equipped and ready to run a successful after school program. They supervise Lead Club Leaders and Jr. Club Leaders who will supervise program participants daily. They also manage staff schedules and daily enrichment offerings.

The Enrichment Coordinator position is an on-site position, including attending training at the Woodcraft Rangers main office and school sites.

Role Overview

• Ensure students are in a safe environment (physically and emotionally). Promotes an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity, for all program participants, staff, and families.
• Lead and coach the on-site team to perform their duties and deliver high-quality programs and provides positive customer service. Promotes professional growth and development for all team members.
• Effectively implement site protocols, safety regulations, WR procedures and policies and provide any necessary training or coaching to on-site teams.
• Communicate with facilities management to ensure access to required facilities during program hours.
• Collect and review activity plans and program material list from Club Leaders to develop spending plan within a given budget. Proactively coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure all staff have access to required materials in a timely manner.
• Coordinate end of week themes activities, program mingle, and end of summer culmination.
• Coordinate field trips with field trip coordinator, communicate with parents/guardians and trip details and requirements. Attend a field trip and serve as the lead WR Team Member for the day.
• Maintain and submit student attendance daily.
• Ensure activities meet the needs and abilities of participants’ age and skill level.
• Oversee staff schedules, ADP including approving timesheets and sick time, and coordinate sub/floater fill in as needed.
• Participate in staff development trainings as required/scheduled.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, energetic, ambitious, proactive, and positive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Multi-tasking and attention to detail must be strengths this individual possesses. Individuals need to be comfortable to present and speak in front of staff and peers during in-person training.
