Citizens of the World Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated Enrichment Elective Instructor to lead after-school programs for students from Transitional Kindergarten to 8th grade, delivering engaging activities across academics, recreation, and STEAM.

You will plan 8 to 10 sessions, each 1 to 1.5 hours, foster a safe and supportive learning environment, support social and emotional development, involve families, and collaborate with faculty to build a positive school culture.

Responsabilités

• Engage children in after-school electives in academics, recreation, and STEAM.
• Plan 8–10 sessions of 1–1.5 hours each in academics, recreation, and STEAM.
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Support social and emotional development of children.
• Encourage family involvement of the children.
• Develop a strong school culture by influencing, motivating, and building rapport with faculty, administrators, parents, and volunteers.
• Flex administrative tasks to organize program schedules and enter important data.
• Be alert, proactive, and take preventative measures to keep all students safe.
• Develop positive teacher–student and peer relationships.
• Implement classroom management procedures for all activities and transitions (training provided).
• Participate in staff and professional development meetings.
• Maintain day-school classrooms, fields, and office equipment in a clean and organized way.
• Communicate with a respectful and positive attitude in the CWC LA Community.
• Safely use technology/electronic tools to maintain the quality of all equipment.
• Arrive at scheduled shifts, meetings, and training on time.

Job Details: Job Location: Regional Support Office (RSO) - Los Angeles, CA 90057, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $25.00 - $65.00 Hourly, Our Enrichment Elective Instructors will be working with students from Transitional Kindergarten to 8th grade, providing them with the opportunity to explore a variety of new and exciting activities. This may not strictly fit into in school curriculum, but develops character, resilience, and motivation, and encourage them to pursue wider goals.Our instructors will conduct 1 to 1.5-hour sessions over a period of 8 to 10 weeks, engaging children in fun, interactive, and age-appropriate after-school electives in academics, recreation, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).
