Core Natural Resources, Inc. seeks an experienced underground mining operator to support safe operation of mining equipment, maintenance, and general labor in the longwall area.

Candidates must have at least two years of longwall experience and hold Pennsylvania Experienced Miner and Machine Runners certificates. Ability to operate Joy 7LS, PMCR shields, and control boxes is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or State Certified GED.
• Minimum two years' proven experience as a Longwall Systems Operator.
• Experience with Joy 7LS, PMCR shields, and Line Power head gating.
• Ability to work in adverse geology and maintain longwall face alignment.

Position Summary

This position is an experienced level mining position and is assigned to the underground mining operations. It will provide work directly to the safe operation of mining equipment, maintenance of equipment, and general labor support for all underground operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Requires Pennsylvania Experienced Miner Certificate
• Requires Machine Runners Certificate
• Must have a minimum of two years’ proven experience of safely and proficiently working as a Longwall Systems Operator.
• Must have experience operating a Joy 7LS shearer, PMCR controlled shields, and Line Power head gate master control boxes.
• Must have experience navigating the above-mentioned longwall equipment through adverse geology conditions.
• Must have experience maintaining the longwall face alignment and proper mining horizon.
• Must be able to work as scheduled and assigned.
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as a part of a team.
• Must be able to perform heavy work as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles which may include but not limited to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, or pry. *Physical demands of the job are subject to change based on industry demands
• Must be able to work on/near moving equipment as required by job.
• Must be able to understand and grasp mining concepts and safety strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or State Certified G.E.D.
• Supervisory/management skills and experience preferred.
• Specialty certification or experience preferred.
