Job summary

Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School (BuffSci) seeks a dedicated ENL teacher to support multilingual learners in developing English proficiency and achieving academic success. Plan and deliver ENL instruction aligned with NYS standards and NYSESLAT preparation, using integrated and stand-alone ENL models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, TESOL or related field required.
• Valid NYS ESOL certification for assigned grades required.
• Experience with ENL strategies for multilingual learners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ENL instruction aligned with NYS standards.
• Provide language development instruction across listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Collaborate with content-area teachers to support access to grade-level curriculum.
• Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction.
• Maintain ENL records and required reports.
• Participate in identification, placement, and assessment of multilingual learners.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and needs.
