Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. is seeking an Enhancements Crew Leader in West Melbourne, FL to guide a crew through landscape enhancement and installation projects for residential and commercial clients. You will lead hands-on work, ensure safety, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency on site.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of landscape installation techniques, and proficiency with equipment. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented opportunity within a professional team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew to complete landscape enhancement, installation, and hardscape projects.
• Assign tasks and ensure crew has tools and materials.
• Train crew on techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Monitor productivity and ensure quality standards.
• Communicate progress and issues to management.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites.
• Oversee bed preparation, plant installation, sod, mulch, rock, drainage, and paver work.
• Read and follow installation specs and plans.
• Operate landscaping equipment safely.
• Perform daily equipment inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a crew to complete landscape enhancement, installation, and hardscape projects.
• Assign daily tasks, provide clear direction, and ensure the crew has the necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
• Train and coach crew members on installation techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Monitor crew productivity and ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate project progress, material needs, and job-site issues to the Production Manager or Branch Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site at all times.
• Perform and oversee landscape bed preparation, plant installation, sod, mulch, rock, drainage, and paver installation.
• Read and follow landscape plans and installation specifications.
• Operate landscaping and construction equipment safely and efficiently, including skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, trenchers, and other applicable equipment.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape installation, enhancements, landscape construction, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Crew Leader or in a leadership role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of landscape installation techniques, including plant, sod, mulch, rock, drainage, and paver installation.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications.
• Proficient in operating landscaping and construction equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
