Job summary

The Greenery Inc. is seeking an Enhancement Crew Member to perform a broad range of landscaping duties for commercial properties. Responsibilities include sod installation, planting, irrigation, pruning, mulching, and related construction tasks using hand tools and power equipment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess the ability to read and write in English. Prior landscape experience is preferred, with overtime and weekend work possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous landscape/ construction exposure preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English; bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape enhancement tasks: sod installation, planting trees/shrubs/flowers, irrigation, and hardscape work.
• Operate hand and power equipment (mowers, trimmers, pruners) safely.
• Load/unload and transport tools and materials; maintain tidy work areas.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform landscape enhancement tasks such as:
• Laying sod, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Watering, fertilizing, mulching, pruning, trimming, and weeding
• Removing or replanting lawns, converting lawn areas to planters, or planters to lawns
• Digging trenches, preparing forms, and finishing cement surfaces for mow strips, sidewalks, and planters
• Installing sprinklers and irrigation systems
• Installing mortarless segmental masonry wall units
• Operate hand and power equipment including mowers, blowers, gas-powered trimmers, pruners, and shears
• Safely load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials from site to site.
• Maintain equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean and organized
• Abide by all internal control and compliance practices, including safeguarding assets, following laws and regulations, and maintaining confidentiality

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to use manual tools (shovels, picks, rakes, hand shears) and mechanized equipment
• Work from elevated heights such as an 8’ A-frame ladder
• Knowledge of plant care, watering, and fertilizer application standards
• Ability to read and write in English; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Education And Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent desired
• Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
• 6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to lift and carry 40–50 lbs. (occasionally up to 120 lbs. with team assistance)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods
• Ability to push/pull equipment, materials, and trees requiring force up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work near natural bodies of water and at elevated heights (e.g., 8’ A-frame ladder)
