The Greenery Inc. is seeking an Enhancement Crew Member to perform a broad range of landscaping tasks for commercial properties. You will lay sod, plant trees and shrubs, irrigate, and help with hardscape projects. You will operate hand and power tools and may assist with light construction tasks.

Applicants should be comfortable reading English, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in varied conditions. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork on-site.

Formación

• Ability to use manual tools and mechanized equipment.
• Ability to work from elevated heights (8' ladder).
• Knowledge of plant care, watering and fertilizer applications.
• Ability to read and write in English; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform landscape enhancement tasks such as sod installation, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Watering, fertilizing, mulching, pruning, trimming, and weeding.
• Remove or replant lawns, convert lawn areas to planters or planters to lawns.
• Dig trenches, prepare forms, finish cement surfaces for mow strips, sidewalks, and planters.
• Install sprinklers and irrigation systems; install mortarless segmental wall units.
• Operate hand and power equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, pruners, shears).
• Safely load, unload, and transport tools and materials; keep work areas clean and organized.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform landscape enhancement tasks such as:
• Laying sod, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Watering, fertilizing, mulching, pruning, trimming, and weeding
• Removing or replanting lawns, converting lawn areas to planters, or planters to lawns
• Digging trenches, preparing forms, and finishing cement surfaces for mow strips, sidewalks, and planters
• Installing sprinklers and irrigation systems
• Installing mortarless segmental masonry wall units
• Operate hand and power equipment including mowers, blowers, gas-powered trimmers, pruners, and shears
• Safely load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials from site to site.
• Maintain equipment and ensure work areas are kept clean and organized
• Abide by all internal control and compliance practices, including safeguarding assets, following laws and regulations, and maintaining confidentiality

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to use manual tools (shovels, picks, rakes, hand shears) and mechanized equipment
• Work from elevated heights such as an 8' A-frame ladder
• Knowledge of plant care, watering, and fertilizer application standards
• Ability to read and write in English; bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Education And Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent desired
• Previous outside construction, landscape, or similar field experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
• 6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs. (occasionally up to 120 lbs. with team assistance)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods
• Ability to push/pull equipment, materials, and trees requiring force up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work near natural bodies of water and at elevated heights (e.g., 8' A-frame ladder)
