Job summary

Listening Ear Crisis Center in Clare, Michigan is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide daily supervision and support to consumers in their homes, following the Person Centered Plan. Responsibilities include meal prep, personal care, bathing, and transport to activities in compliance with Michigan Health Code.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, CPR/First Aid knowledge, and a compassionate, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must possess working knowledge of laws and regulations for caring for adults with mental disabilities.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
• Able to perform daily living activities, including meal prep and personal care.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities as per the consumer's plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating and hygiene.
• Transport to appointments and medical visits.
• Complete required documentation and attend mandatory trainings.
