Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Huntsville, AL. The role offers flexible fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up extra hours. The position requires a minimum 3 years of security experience or a college degree and a DoD Secret Clearance may be required.

Pay rate is $18.93 per hour with daytime shifts from 05:00 AM to 01:00 PM. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, plus paid holidays and vacation at eligible assignments.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of security-related experience or a college degree.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, employee, and contractor access procedures.
• Prepare incident reports, patrol logs, and communicate observations to leadership.
