Solventum in New Jersey seeks a Software Quality Engineer/Analyst to join the Clinical & Economic Research development team. You will test methodologies, assess clinical specifications, and analyze healthcare claims data to validate outcomes against complex logic.

You will design test cases and data, execute manual and automated tests, and contribute to an automation framework. Collaboration in a Scrum team and cross-functional interaction are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution with 2+ years of experience, or HS diploma with 6+ years in software industry.
  • Three (3) years of combined experience creating software quality tests and/or data processing tests for non-GUI applications.
  • Experience testing applications implemented using Java, SQL, JSON technology.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and work with large datasets (e.g., healthcare claims) and report defects.
  • Design and develop test cases and data to meet specifications and software logic.
  • Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results and identify abnormalities.
  • Design/develop automation framework and scripts; run automated tests and evaluate results.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

The person hired for the position of Software Quality Engineer/Analyst will be part of the Clinical & Economic Research component development team. Testing of the component methodology will require assessing clinical specifications for procedures and diagnosis code-set changes, perform data analytics of healthcare claims to assess expected results with actual results covering complex clinical logic paths.

As a Software Quality Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Analyzing and working with large sets of data (e.g. Healthcare claims)
  • Development of test cases/test data needed to meet specifications, clinical content definitions and software implementation design/logic
  • Execution of test cases (both manual and automated), analyze testcase execution to identify abnormalities and report defects
  • Design/development of automation framework, scripts, execute automated scripts and analyze results
  • Participate in scrum team planning sessions to identify dependency chain and tasks breakdown, provide estimates and outline test approach
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND two (2) years of experience.

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher AND six (6) years of experience in the software industry.

AND

  • Three (3) years of combined experience creating software quality tests and/or data processing tests for non-gui applications.
  • Experience testing applications that are implemented using JAVA, SQL, JSON Technology.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Experience analyzing and working with large sets of data (e.g. Healthcare claims, Insurance claims, Financial transactions, etc.
  • Experience working with an "Agile" team using Scrum Framework.
  • Three (3) years experience testing applications or java jars/libraries with no user interface using JSON and CSV datasets.
  • Experience with healthcare related data (claims and billing, healthcare informatics, inpatient and outpatient data) and HIPAA requirements is desired.
  • Experience using Python/Java automation frameworks.
  • Experience developing and executing test scripts using Java, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience creating test preparation documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience documenting test results, defects, and validation outcomes in accordance with established testing procedures.

Onboarding Requirement

Compensation and Benefits

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $85,200 - $117,150, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
