Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center in Marlton, NJ is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to inspire K-5 students in a supportive, personalized learning environment. You will deliver engaging instruction after school hours and help young learners build confidence in literacy.

The role emphasizes using Sylvan's curriculum, tracking progress, and communicating with parents, while collaborating with center staff to support student achievement in a friendly, flexible setting.

Qualifications

• Teaching Certification required.
• Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students (K-5).
• Strong knowledge of phonics, reading comprehension, and early writing skills.
• NJ teaching certification is a plus but not required.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
• Strong communication with students, parents and staff.

About the Role:

Sylvan Learning Center in Marlton, NJ is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to inspire K-5 students in a supportive, personalized learning environment. If you're passionate about helping young learners build confidence and literacy skills, this is the opportunity for you! Our center is open the following days & times: Monday - Thursday: 4pm-8pm Saturday: 9am-1:00pm.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, personalized English instruction to students in grades K-5
• Track student progress and communicate updates to parents and center staff
• Implement Sylvan's proven curriculum and instructional materials effectively
• Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment that motivates young learners
• Collaborate with center directors and fellow educators to support student success

Requirements:

• Teaching Certification
• Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-age students (K-5)
• Strong knowledge of phonics, reading comprehension, and early writing skills
• NJ teaching certification is a plus but not required
• Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to working with children
• Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff
