The mission of CJCP is to provide academic and social opportunities for students to attain the skills necessary for success in post-secondary education. CJCP serves its mission by offering rigorous educational programs with an emphasis on college preparation, college and career counseling, and extracurricular enrichment activities.
Instructing students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to enhance their literacy and communication skills.
Teach Language Arts to various grade levels skills such as grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and composition.
Incorporate formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting instruction as needed.
Support the academic and personal growth of students.
Regularly assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Establish and maintain a disciplined classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and active learning.
Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators to enhance instructional practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Maintain open communication with students, parents, and administrators regarding academic progress and classroom activities.
Engage in ongoing professional growth opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and developments in Language Arts education.
Communicates responsibly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership;
