Job summary

HTU in Thornton, Colorado, is seeking an on-call substitute teacher to support daily classroom operations. You will implement lesson plans, take attendance, monitor behavior, and coordinate with the regular teacher and school administration.

Candidates should have a BA/BS and, ideally, a Colorado substitute authorization or teaching license, plus strong classroom management and reliability.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university preferred.
• A valid Colorado Department of Education Substitute Authorization or Teacher License preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to follow lesson plans effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

• Without a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) License: $155/day (approx. $19.38/hour)
• With a CDE Substitute Teacher License: $165/day (approx. $20.63/hour)
• With a CDE Teacher License: $180/day (approx. $22.50/hour)
• Colorado PERA Retirees: $190/day (approx. $23.75/hour)
• Long-Term Substitute Assignments: $200/day (approx. $25.00/hour)

This is an on-call, as-needed position without a guaranteed minimum number of hours or days per week.
