Job summary

Laveen Elementary School District in Laveen, AZ, is seeking an Associate, Instructional English Learner (EL) to support EL students and collaborate with teachers to implement language instruction. Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with teachers and staff.
• CPI/restraint and First Aid/CPR training completed.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to guidelines for EL education including assessment and instruction.
• Implements EL programs to improve reading, writing, and language arts.
• Instructs EL students individually or in groups with assigned lesson plans.
• Maintains EL student progress and communicates with staff.
• Collaborates with teachers to select materials and plan instruction.
• Supports EL students with related information and documentation.
• Identifies students for English proficiency testing and administers assessments.
• Creates appropriate paperwork and maintains EL records.
