Full-time Middle School English Language Arts Teacher (1.0 FTE)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Instruct assigned classes at designated locations and times.
• Create and maintain an effective classroom environment within district resources.
• Prepare lessons and show evidence of preparation upon request.
• Promote positive classroom behavior and report student compliance issues.
• Use diverse instructional techniques and media suited to student needs and classroom limitations.
• Align instruction with the district's educational philosophy, including knowledge of Response to Intervention and Common Core Standards.
• Ensure safety of students, equipment, and facilities.
• Regularly assess student progress.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policies.
• Enforce school rules and policies.
• Be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when needed.
• Participate in relevant faculty meetings and professional development.
• Collaborate on instructional goals, materials, and methods with staff.
• Contribute to co-curricular activities as assigned.
• Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress.

Qualifications
