Position: English Language Arts Interventionist – Learning Lab (Grades 6-8)

Location: Gardiner Regional Middle School

Date Position Available: 2026-2027 School Year

Qualifications: Appropriate State of Maine Certification (020) General Elementary or (100) English/Language Arts and current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education.

Description: MSAD #11 is currently seeking a team-oriented, positive, and dynamic educator to join the Gardiner Regional Middle School teaching staff as an English Language Arts Interventionist in the Learning Lab. An ideal candidate would have experience working at the middle school level, show a strong understanding of systems of intervention and literacy development, and build meaningful relationships with students, staff, administration, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with a variety of students targeted for intervention
• Utilize data to focus instruction
• Complete frequent progress monitoring
• Deliver measurable results on improving student performance for students receiving intervention
• Manage classroom behaviors
• Be an active member of the MTSS team
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify students who may benefit from literacy intervention programming
• Support professional staff to identify appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve academic achievement for all students

Teacher Pay Scale (2025-2026) Pending Negotiations

Placement on the scale is dependent upon degree and experience.
