Middlesex Community College in Bedford or Lowell seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of English to teach English Composition 1 and 2 to a diverse student body. This faculty member will collaborate with the Dean, Department Chair, and other faculty to plan, implement, and evaluate coursework relevant to the English department and participate in college service and student advisement.

• Master's degree in English, writing, reading, rhetoric, composition, literature, or Master’s in Education/Teaching with a concentration in English.
• Successful classroom teaching experience in composition classes.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusive pedagogy, and technology-enabled learning.

Responsabilidades

• Teach fifteen credits in English Composition and other English courses each semester.
• Explore new pedagogies in first-year college writing.
• Develop equity-informed student-centered teaching approaches.
• Develop assessment strategies to measure learning outcomes.
• Apply instructional methods for diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Integrate technology and use the Learning Management System.
• Support civic and community engagement.
• Participate in department, division, and college committees.
• Advise students.
• Fulfill terms of the faculty contract as per the MCCC/Massachusetts collective bargaining agreement.
