Welo Data in the United States is seeking a Maps Visual Design Relevance Evaluator - English (US) to help improve maps-based experiences. You will evaluate aesthetic quality, readability, and polish of digital map designs.

You will assess viewport framing, geospatial accuracy, and relevance of location suggestions, and you will tag issues per project instructions. Remote freelance role with opt-in participation and weekly project cadence; requires US work eligibility and a Gmail/Maps activity

What You'll Do

• Evaluate the aesthetic quality, readability, and overall polish of digital map designs.
• Assess user-focused elements like viewport framing, geospatial accuracy, and content relevance.
• Review personalized location recommendations to ensure relevance and helpfulness.
• Follow strict project instructions and complete tasks accurately, including tagging specific issues (e.g., Icons not properly masked, Labels too small).

Requirements:

• To be located and have the right to work in the United States.
• An existing, actively used Gmail account with prior usage history on Google Maps.
• Participation is limited to maximum three project rounds. Please note that the task request will be dynamic and we will be providing you with a heads-up as soon as possible once there is a project round available for you.

PROJECT DETAILS

• Job Title: Maps Visual Design Relevance Evaluator - English (US)
• Contract type: Freelance
• Hourly rate: US$20.30
• Language: English (US)
• Location: Remote
• Estimated volume: 8 - 10 hours
• Start date: The project runs on a weekly basis. Eligible candidates will be added to a pool of certified raters and contacted at least 48 hours before kickoff.
