Job summary

The Maps Visual Design Relevance Evaluator (English US) is a freelance, remote role open to candidates located in the United States with a Gmail history on Google Maps. You will evaluate map design polish, readability, and geospatial relevance, and report issues like icons masking and labels being too small.

The project runs weekly with an estimated 8–10 hours per cycle. A desktop computer is required; mobile devices are not supported. Compensation is $20.30 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate the aesthetic quality, readability, and overall polish of digital map designs.
• Assess user-focused elements like viewport framing, geospatial accuracy, and content relevance.
• Review personalized location recommendations to ensure relevance and helpfulness.
• Follow strict project instructions and complete tasks accurately, including tagging specific issues (e.g., Icons not properly masked, Labels too small).

Requirements:

• To be located and have the right to work in the United States.
• An existing, actively used Gmail account with prior usage history on Google Maps.
• Participation is limited to maximum three project rounds. Please note that the task request will be dynamic and we will be providing you with a heads-up as soon as possible once there is a project round available for you.
