EOS Hospitality’s Islands of Islamorada resort in the Florida Keys seeks a skilled maintenance engineer to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other life safety systems. You’ll perform preventative tasks, upkeep guest areas, and support resort operations with a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Ideal candidates have at least four years in hotel or resort maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering, facilities, or general maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Technical training or hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple maintenance needs.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems across the resort (HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, pools, life safety).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, painting, drywall repairs, and general mechanical tasks to keep the property in excellent condition.
• Maintain guest accommodations, common areas, resort amenities, and exterior spaces to uphold luxury standards.
• Experience using CMMS to track maintenance tasks, streamline workflows, and document/report activities.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Repairs and General Maintenance

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment and systems throughout the resort, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, pools, and life safety systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, painting, drywall repairs, and general mechanical maintenance to ensure the property remains in excellent condition.
• Maintain guest accommodations, common areas, resort amenities, and exterior spaces to uphold the property's luxury standards.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance tasks, streamline workflows, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting is a plus.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety

• Maintain familiarity with applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations, including relevant certifications for HVAC, pool operations, and electrical systems.
• Follow established safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Identify and address potential maintenance or safety concerns proactively.

Guest Service & Hospitality

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and maintenance concerns, minimizing disruptions to the guest experience.
• Maintain a courteous, service-oriented approach when interacting with guests and team members.
• Collaborate with resort departments to ensure efficient operations and consistently high property standards.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering, facilities, or general maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Technical training or hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple maintenance needs.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Relevant HVAC, pool operations (CPO), or electrical certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly push, pull, carry, and move equipment or materials.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in a tropical Florida Keys environment.
