Job summary

Delta Faucet Company is seeking a testing-focused engineer to execute design validation and verification for new and existing products. You will support engineers, develop test fixtures, and help test advanced technologies in a collaborative lab team.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, documented test reports, and continuous improvement in a 5S lab environment within a multi-person Lab team.

Qualifications

• AS/BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience setting up and executing performance testing using laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of testing equipment including pressure gauges, flow meters, load cells, and pressure transducers.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 quality documents and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute design validation and verification testing of new or existing products or processes to internal and existing industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance to product engineers and lab technicians to help lead future actions in development efforts.
• Assist in development of new or existing products or processes.
• Participate in design and construction of specialized test equipment and fixtures.
• Collaborate with the Innovation team to test new technologies or products that are new to the company or industry.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis on complex field-returned products.
• Execute up to 100 Work Requests with written Test Reports annually.
• Identify at least 3 laboratory improvement opportunities annually.
• Support maintenance of the laboratory standard work review program.
• Maintain a 5S compliant work environment with 85% audit compliance.
