Job summary

RTX Corporation's Hurricane Mesa Test Facility seeks an Engineering Test Technician to support rocket sled tests, subsystem evaluations, and site operations. The role involves hands-on work with energetic materials, test hardware, and custom fixtures for high-speed and supersonic testing.

You will test motors, manage test components, and contribute to equipment maintenance and upgrades in a fast-paced environment at the Hurricane Mesa facility. U.S.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience welding with TIG and MIG.
• Experience in fabrication, layout, and working with metal components.

Responsibilities

• Handle and test rocket motors as part of a test team.
• Support test team activities involving safe handling of CAD/PAD components.
• Deploy, operate, and maintain test track hardware and fixtures.
• Perform test tracking maintenance, including track setup and post-test water brake functions.
• Assist with site maintenance, equipment upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Build, repair, and modify test equipment, fixtures, and hardware.
