Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking a hands-on Test Technician to support liquid rocket engine tests. You will fabricate test stands, assemble hardware, maintain infrastructure, and work with engineers to execute hotfire campaigns safely in a high-stakes environment.

Prerequisites include a high school diploma and 2+ years in mechanical systems or test operations in aerospace or related fields; an Associate’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience with mechanical systems, test operations, or hands-on work in aerospace, automotive, or related environments.
• Proven ability to operate and maintain mechanical equipment, tools, or fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or modify fluid systems, mechanical hardware, fixtures, and tooling to support test activities.
• Operate and maintain test systems, including mechanical structures, fluid systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition hardware.
• Collaborate with engineers to prepare for hotfire testing by installing test articles, ground support equipment, and instrumentation.
• Execute test procedures, perform system checks, and troubleshoot real-time issues during testing.
• Document test results, inspections, and maintenance logs in a clear and traceable format.
