Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Bowling Green, KY, seeks a Supervisor, Engineering - Test (Wheel End - Lab). You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, oversee FMEA's and DVP&R, develop test procedures, and drive process improvements in a dynamic lab environment.

Candidates should have a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 8+ years in brake hardware testing, strong RCA/DFMEA knowledge, and hands-on experience with calibration and data analysis.

Qualifications

• 8+ years minimum experience with foundation brake hardware testing and leadership with progressively responsible position within the automotive industry or commercial vehicle industry is required.
• Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO17025 is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily test activity and performance of direct reports, engineer and technicians including coaching, identifying business goals, growing individual skills, completing performance reviews, hiring/disciplinary decisions.
• Leads test planning activities with product engineering for disc brake, drum brakes, slack adjuster and actuator product lines.
• Manage test resources and equipment calibration, efficiency and utilization.
• Develop metrics to drive improved productivity and quality.
• Provide technical direction and support to technicians performing tests.
• Promote and support a team focus toward meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
• Interface with and give presentations to internal and external customers.
