Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a dynamic, self-starting junior analyst to assist the Missile Software Development Manager in overseeing the program management activities for the ESSM missile system project, supporting a 12 Nation Consortium, within the NATO Seasparrow Project Office (NSPO) team. The successful candidate will provide oversight of contractor teams products and coordinate efforts between contractor and government personnel.
Position Specific Duties:- Track and regularly report on the execution status of program milestones, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Facilitate engagements between US and International teams, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure common understanding and program progress.
- Lead and organize program-related meetings, capturing key notes and action items, and follow up to ensure timely completion. Regularly report on action item closure status.
- Assist in developing and managing program documentation, including Statements of Work, task directives, and status reports, while collaborating with financial and contracts specialists.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and proposals to stakeholders and prepare briefing materials, executive summaries, and reports for decision-makers.
- Develop and maintain project plans using Microsoft Office and Program Office tools to monitor progress and resource allocation.
- Oversee team coordination and provide recommendations to improve program efficiency and meet organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition processes and program guidelines while working with cross-functional teams.
- Track budgets, funding, and procurement activities in collaboration with financial specialists.
Required Education, Experience, & SkillsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field), or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Experience, skills and competencies: - Proactive and self-starting approach.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project).
- 0-5 years of experience supporting program management, preferably in defense or missile systems projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, deliver projects on time and within budget, and foster teamwork.
- Ability to work effectively in an International Team environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills- Familiarity with Dept of Navy Acquisition System processes and guidelines.
- Knowledge of contracting, procurement, and financial systems (e.g., POM cycle, ATRs, funding types).
- Ability to interpret and apply distribution statements and releasability guidance.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $63653 - $108210

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
