Job summary

BOSCH in Michigan is seeking a maintenance/engineering technician to troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair pneumatic and hydraulic test equipment, support operators, and assist with test stand development. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates bring an associate degree in mechatronics or related field, 1–3 years of industrial experience, and strong troubleshooting, communication, and safety skills. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience with industrial controls and measurement devices (i.e. pressure transducers, LVDTs and load cells).
  • 1–3 years industrial experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skill and electrical safety knowledge.
  • Proactive mindset with strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Must be able to relate and get along with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose pneumatic & hydraulic test equipment
  • Calibrate and repair pneumatic & hydraulic test equipment
  • Assist operators with set-up of test equipment as needed
  • Build and repair test stand masters
  • Tear down and analysis of test stand failures
  • Review processes on an on-going basis for safety, quality, and production efficiency
  • Identify pneumatic & hydraulic leaks and repair
  • Support assembly manufacturing with troubleshooting and guiding maintenance staff as needed
  • Learn current Vision Systems and Industrial Lighting to help in troubleshooting
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the Qualification of new test equipment
