Job Description
The Alaka’ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is seeking an Engineering Technician V, Project Manager to support a customer out of Maui, Hawai'i.
Responsibilities
- Provide escort, planning, design, management, and services for maintenance, repair, demolition, and construction of facilities and infrastructure, following standard operating guides and playbooks.
- Ensure thorough planning, surveying, design, and engineering of facility and infrastructure projects to optimize use of Air Force real property and equipment.
- Develop project planning documents, including a detailed Project Package for government review, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and requirements.
- Conduct site surveys and measurements to complete the Statement of Work (SOW), including all necessary details for project execution.
- Provide engineering designs, including PE-stamped plans when required, and include necessary calculations and investigations.
- Compile and submit Facilities Project packages for approval, including all relevant documents and designs.
- Review and respond to technical questions from bidders, providing expert input.
- Coordinate construction activities, ensuring quality control and contractual adherence.
- Manage project closeout procedures, including documentation and formal evaluations.
- Update Preventive Maintenance programs and track project completion in relevant systems.
- Support facility programming and planning, including participation in site Facility Board meetings and development of project descriptions and estimates.
- Manage Facility Projects (FP) lifecycle, including request creation, approval, and work acceptance.
- Present project updates at Work Request Review Board (WRRB) meetings, recommending efficient methods for project accomplishment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an ABET or NABA accredited program.
- Project Management certification preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience in project scoping, estimating, and scheduling for renovation, sustainment, and minor construction, especially in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and architectural systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
- U.S. military or Air Force experience preferred.
- Ability to coordinate multiple vendors and manage work orders effectively.
- Knowledge of permitting processes and safety standards.
- Strong communication skills for daily correspondence and project documentation.
Citizenship and Clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must hold a Secret clearance.
