Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Transmission & Distribution group by providing drafting support and creating drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and by designing in PLS-CADD under close supervision.

Candidates should have a two-year technical degree (or be enrolled in drafting studies) and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong detail, teamwork, and communication skills, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree or currently enrolled in Technical Drafting
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Knowledge of Microstation is a plus
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software a plus
• Knowledge of PLS-CADD a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of GIS software is a plus
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Knowledge in Transmission & Distribution design and drafting would be beneficial
• Good organization and communication skills to assure projects are completed on schedule
• Openness to innovation by embracing evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows

The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Engineering Technician opening. The Engineering Technician supports the Transmission & Distribution group of engineers by providing technical drafting support and creating drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD and designs in PLS-CADD under close supervision.

What You'll Do

Successful candidates will complete tasks within the Transmission & Distribution department designing/drafting projects. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and work well within a team.

What We Expect from You

• Two year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Knowledge of Microstation is a plus
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software or similar 3D modeling software a plus
• Knowledge of PLS-CADD a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of GIS software is a plus
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
• Knowledge in Transmission & Distribution design and drafting would be beneficial
• Good organization and communication skills to assure projects are completed on schedule

Additional Opportunity Details:

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $32.25/hr - $43.75/hr

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
