Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a BIM Technician to support the Substation group by providing technical drafting support and creating construction drawings/designs under close supervision.

The role focuses on drafting work within substation projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely delivery. Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree or are enrolled in drafting school, and knowledge of AutoCAD and Microstation is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in drafting schooling.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of Microstation is required.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit software a plus.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
• Knowledge in substation electrical protection and control and/or physical design would be beneficial.
• Good organization and communication skills to assure projects are completed on schedule.
• Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Must have permanent authorization to work permanently in US.

The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a BIM Technician opening. The BIM Technician supports the Substation group of engineers by providing technical drafting support and creating construction drawings/designs under close supervision.

What You'll Do

Successful candidates will complete tasks within the Substation department designing/drafting projects. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and work well within a team.

What We Expect from You

• Two year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Knowledge of Microstation is required
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit software a plus
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)

Additional Opportunity Details

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $24.75/hr - $31.50/hr

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
