Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a CAD Technician in Sioux Falls to support the Transmission & Distribution engineers with drafting and drawing creation using Microstation and AutoCAD. You will contribute to designs in PLS-CADD under close supervision and work as part of a team.

Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree or are pursuing Drafting studies, with at least 3 years of experience and strong knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation. A permanent US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in Technical Drafting program.
• Minimum 3 years of drafting experience.
• AutoCAD proficiency required.
• MicroStation proficiency required.
• PLS-CADD experience is a plus, not required.
• Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Knowledge in Transmission & Distribution design and drafting beneficial.
• Good organization and communication to ensure projects are on schedule.
• Authorized to work permanently in the United States.

The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a CAD Technician opening. The CAD Technician supports the Transmission & Distribution group of engineers by providing technical drafting support and creating drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD and designs in PLS-CADD under close supervision.

Successful candidates will complete tasks within the Transmission & Distribution department designing/drafting projects. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and work well within a team.

What We Expect from You

• Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Knowledge of Microstation is required
• Knowledge of PLS-CADD a plus, but not required
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
• Knowledge in Transmission & Distribution design and drafting would be beneficial
• Good organization and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule
• Must have permanent authorization to work in US

Additional Opportunity Details

Target Hourly Base Compensation Range for this role is $31.50 - $42.50. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role.
