Job summary

FMI is seeking a dependable Engineering Technician to join the Manufacturing team in Biddeford, Maine. You will support production, maintenance, and facilities equipment, assist with fixture design, fabrication, and selection of new tools.

You should have a High School Diploma or GED and 6+ years of technician experience, hands-on fabrication, and proficiency with basic measurement tools; strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years of technician level work in manufacturing.
• Hands-on fabrication experience with mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and execute technical docs and drawings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering, production maintenance, and manufacturing operations.
• Prepare new equipment for operation and assist during implementation.
• Fabricate or modify fixtures, tools, and jigs for processes.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues with maintenance team.
• Support equipment trials and process changes.
• Follow all safety practices and use PPE as required.
• Utilize MS Office suite for documentation and reporting.
• Contribute to Lean initiatives and process improvements.
