Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking an Engineering Technician for an onsite role in Austin, TX. The position is an 18-month contract with potential hire and pays $25 to $26 per hour, plus a $1500 sign-on bonus, with structured payout after 90 and 180 days.

Responsibilities include testing and maintaining Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems, troubleshooting malfunctions, supporting R&D and production teams, and documenting preventive maintenance and setups of new semiconductor equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, robotics, or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and maintenance on Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Support engineers and scientists in R&D and production environments.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and document activities.
• Assist in setup and qualification of new semiconductor equipment.
