Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design roadway and public utility improvements by establishing line and grade and developing cross-sections.
• Preparation of bidding documents for public roadway, trail and utility improvements.
• Gathering topographic field survey and developing surface terrain model of existing conditions.
• Providing field construction control and stakes to contractors.
• Construction administration and on-site inspection to ensure conformance with plans and standards.
• Record keeping, pay voucher development and other documentation for municipal/state/federal aid projects.
• Prepare preliminary designs, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and engineering reports for capital improvement planning.
