Job summary

Vicor Corporation in Andover, MA, is hiring an Engineering Technician - Reliability to support the Quality Department. You will create and maintain reliability test setups, perform electrical testing, and assemble complex devices including prototypes, with MSL reflow as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of equivalent technical experience.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• IPC Solder Certified preferred.
• Ability to identify electronic & mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Works with small intricate components utilizing a microscope and soldering iron.
• Ability to follow instructions to create large scale electrical reliability test setups in environmental chambers under the guidance of area management.
• Maintenance of product qualification equipment which may involve repair of circuit boards, wiring harnesses, or routine maintenance of test equipment under the guidance of area management.
• Participates in process improvement teams and may assist in conducting cross training as needed.
• Perform interim product qualification testing for new and existing products.
• Perform data entry, tracking and maintenance of product qualification quality records, reporting results in a timely manner to area management.
