Specialized Experience for this position includes, but is not limited to: comprehensive and extensive technical knowledge of architectural, plumbing, HVAC, steam distribution systems, and electrical systems. Formulating and presenting findings, briefings, status reports and correspondences to internal and external contractors, designers and personnel. Comprehensive and extensive technical knowledge of environmental principles (EPA), practices, procedures, laws, regulations and current legislative issues. Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures to provide oversight for engineering maintenance contracts. Reviewing designs to ensure they fit field conditions and comply with contract requirements and plan and execute complex, multi-faceted projects. Knowledge of computer programs to include word processing, tables and databases. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include technical work in: drafting, surveying construction estimating, physical science, mathematics, aerospace, architecture, chemicals, electrical or mechanical systems, mining, petroleum, or nuclear systems. Experience in a trade or craft may be credited as specialized experience when the work provided intensive knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and precedents. Examples are trade positions with substantial developmental, test, or design responsibilities such as: Planner and estimator who analyzed designs for production purposes. Instrument maker or model maker who performed design or development work on devices fabricated. OR EDUCATION: You must have successfully completed at least two (2) years and six (6) months of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology, or a closely related discipline.
