Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a General Engineering Technician for mechanical assembly and integration. The role involves manual labor with hand/power tools and lifting up to 75 lbs, with training available for other tasks.

Candidates may travel 1-2 weeks per year for repairs at events or testing at other locations; a Secret or higher clearance may be required or sponsorable.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 - 75 lbs.
• Must be able bodied.
• Must be willing to work around grease, dust, debris, and oil.
• Mechanical Assembly or Integration experience is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of mechanical structures and assemblies.
• Mechanical and Electrical integration.
• General Maintenance.
• Painting and/or coating processes.
• Cutting metal tubes or sheet metal.
• Operation of hand tools and power tools.
• May be involved with 12v and 24v systems (depending on experience).
• Required to lift 50 - 75lbs.
