Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a General Engineering Technician to join our team on-site. The role focuses on manufacturing and wiring cables, assembling wire harnesses, and installing electrical components in racks and cabinets.

Qualifying candidates will have 2–4 years in 12V/24V wiring, PCB assembly, soldering, SMT, and the ability to read electrical drawings. U.S. citizenship is required and a Secret clearance is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in 12v/24v electrical wiring.
• Experience with PCB assembly, soldering techniques, and SMT.
• Strong understanding of schematics, wiring and mechanical assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and assembling cables and wire harnesses.
• Assembling/wiring electrical box assemblies.
• Cable management and routing through trays or conduit.
• Use of soldering iron, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hand tools, power tools, DMM, calipers.
• Install electrical components in racks/cabinets/boxes.
• Diagnose and fix electrical issues.
• Assist with equipment design modifications, fabrication and testing.
