Job summary

The United States Army Installation Management Command is seeking an Engineering Technician (Mechanical) for the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This is a permanent federal appointment under Direct Hire Authority for DoD personnel.

Specialized Experience

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes

• (1) preparing, reviewing, and editing drawings, schematics, sketches, and specifications in electronic formats;
• (2) preparing or editing contract documents (e.g., Performance Work Statement, PWS; Statement of Work, SOW);
• (3) analyzing and interpreting data to solve problems, develop recommendations, or provide evaluations;
• AND (4) executing and coordinating quality management activities (e.g., field observations, testing, reporting, sampling, plan review).
