Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Engineering Technician 4 to support the RTC Test and Engineering Services contract for the Army Division at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. You will provide electrician support, operate and maintain test equipment, and collaborate with engineers on test stands and fixtures.

Candidates must have extensive hardware testing experience, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area: Commercial and Industrial Electrical.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrician support for operations in, and around, test stands and fixtures.
• Operate and maintain equipment for test support.
• Plan, setup, install, troubleshoot/maintain range electrical and fiber lines as part of a team.
• Support senior engineers and technicians during test operations on local test ranges and CONUS travel missions to other DoD ranges.

We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician 4 for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area: Commercial and Industrial Electrical.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance (Must be a U.S. Citizen).
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
