Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Engineering Technician 4 for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division, located at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The role involves electrician support, equipment operation, and collaboration with engineers on DoD test ranges.

The position requires long-term reliability, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and travel up to 5% to support CONUS missions.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in engineering, design, or testing hardware; or 3 years plus 4 years in the assigned specialty area: Commercial and Industrial Electrical.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance (US citizen).
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrician support for operations in test stands and fixtures.
• Operate and maintain equipment for test support.
• Plan, setup, install, troubleshoot/maintain range electrical and fiber lines.
• Support senior engineers and technicians during test operations on local and CONUS ranges.

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician 4 for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area: Commercial and Industrial Electrical.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance (Must be a U.S. Citizen).
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to manage personnel, effectively utilize employee skillsets, and make sure they align with test events.
