Job summary

Generac is seeking an Engineering Technician III to perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests on current and new product designs under supervision. The role supports continuous improvement and ensures test requirements are defined and met.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, executing tests, and documenting results with precision. The candidate will assist with lab audits, 5S programs, and database administration to maintain accurate test records and improve product

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required and 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience performing electrical, mechanical and environmental tests in a lab setting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and products in proper sequence per procedures.
• Perform tests on prototypes, existing and competitor products for mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions.
• Use measurement devices to document readings like temperature and pressure accurately.
• Assist in assembling and fabricating test equipment per blueprints.
• Prepare formal and informal test reports and maintain related documentation.
