BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician (Structural Detailer) to translate engineering designs into precise construction documents for structural projects.

You will prepare detailed drawings, fabrication plans, erection and permit drawings, and anchor rod layouts. You'll work with project teams to identify challenges, maintain schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement, applying your drafting skills and technical knowledge in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Associate or 2-year technical degree or 2 additional years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• The Engineering Technician performs Detailing activities on assigned projects and adheres to schedule and accuracy requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings and fabrication plans based on engineering designs and project specifications.
• Create erection drawings, approval drawings, permit drawings, and anchor rod layouts.
• Continuously develop technical expertise and improve knowledge of products, materials, and industry standards.
• Upload, edit, and release parts into the manufacturing system for production.
• Work closely with project teams to identify challenges, propose solutions, and ensure cost-effective, efficient project execution.
• Maintain project schedules to meet customer needs and ensure high-quality service.
• Contribute to department objectives, profitability goals, and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance team.
