Job Description: Engineering Technician III at SAIC

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician III for our Bedford, IN location.

The ideal candidate must have mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of electrical connectivity, with the ability to follow written instruction and schematic layout.

Job Duties

• Assist Production Lead and Configuration Management (CM) with daily tasks as directed.
• Provide facilities escort for non-employee visitors to the facility.
• Maintain configuration management of tasking, files, and correspondence to complete tasks efficiently and in an organized manner.
• Perform written documentation for various moderate tasks and learn to assimilate simple to moderate end items.
• Kitting parts and cable assemblies according to written instructions, integrating parts, cables, assemblies, and sensitive equipment, and interacting with other project development facets such as leads, government customers, procurement, drafting, engineering, and inventory support.

This role requires the ability to complete tasks independently and as part of a team, with detailed or general instructions.

The candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of reading, comprehending, and following written work instructions, drawings, and verbal directions.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma and at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; not required to start.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to understand and follow specific work instructions.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Attention to detail and effective communication skills in a production environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proper sentence structure.
