Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time Aviation Test Hardware Design Engineer 2 at our U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will design and develop moderately complex test hardware to facilitate factory testing of Garmin products under supervision of management and/or a mentor.

Essential functions include defining test requirements, designing hardware per Garmin’s methodology, assisting production, maintaining hardware, collaborating with engineers, and leading small projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE/EET and 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with test equipment, electronics design/testing and documentation.
  • Proficient use of common EE troubleshooting tools and software.

Responsibilities

  • Define test requirements and procedures to confirm Garmin product performance.
  • Design, develop and document test hardware per Garmin's methodology.
  • Assist production with introducing new test hardware to manufacturing.
  • Maintain and support existing test hardware per change management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fix hardware issues quickly; lead small projects.
