Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Technician 2 in Clearfield, UT. This 100% on-site role involves instrumentation, assembly, disassembly, and testing of articles for development and production rate programs.

You will review plans, implement test procedures, and operate control systems and data acquisition tools. Required are a high school diploma or GED with experience or an associate degree in a technical discipline, plus proficiency with hand/power tools and reading engineering docs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience OR associate's degree/certificate in a technical discipline.
• Proficient with manual and power tools for daily use.
• Able to read engineering documentation and reports including drawings and schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and wiring of test fixtures and test chassis from drawings, schematics and instructions.
• Install fixtures to test articles for verification and data sampling.
• Mechanically set up test articles into the testing area using wrenches, bolts and power tools.
• Compile reports, data, planning and certifications for internal and customer packages.
• Maintain strong organizational skills and clear documentation.
• Report on-site daily to Clearfield, UT propulsion systems location; some travel may be required.
