Job summary

Applied Materials in Austin, TX is seeking an electro-mechanical technician to perform routine to moderately complex design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.

You will work from schematics, troubleshoot, document procedures, support NPIs, maintain safety standards, and contribute to quality notifications. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with electro-mechanical systems and component testing.
• Ability to read schematics and documentation.
• Strong problem solving and written documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical functions including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification and assembly.
• Test and troubleshoot system and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• May perform new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
• Follow schematics, diagrams, and plans to perform testing and troubleshooting.
