Job summary

Astrion is seeking an Engineering Technician II for an onsite role at Lackland AFB, TX. The position requires Top Secret clearance, full-time status, and no travel. You will install, operate, and maintain specialized instrumentation while supporting the lead engineer in design, installation, and production tasks.

Responsibilities include local data collection on aviation and weapons systems and operating range equipment as needed. Prior electronics/instrumentation experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of applicable experience in engineering or testing hardware, or two years with related schooling plus one year of experience.
• Civilian or military training in electronics or instrumentation required; at least one year in electronics/instrumentation for hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain technical instrumentation.
• Support the lead engineer in design, installation, and production tasks.
• Assist with local data collection on integrated aviation/weapons systems.

Astrion has an exciting opportunity foran Engineering Technician II located at LAckland AFB, Texas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and one (1) year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:
• Instrumentation - Must have sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and at least one (1) of the three (3) years of experience must be in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Exceptional customer relationship skills.
