The Engineering Technician II supports a major data center project with a primary focus on soils testing and certification during the initial phase. This role performs field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel, while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

This role is based in Roanoke, Virginia and primarily supports a large data center project, with the initial phase focused on soils testing. The position involves a mix of field and laboratory work, including time on active construction sites and in materials testing laboratories. Technicians use laptops, Microsoft Word and Excel, nuclear density gauges, and other construction materials testing equipment, and are expected to maintain all equipment in clean, calibrated, and safe working condition. This is a Contract position based out of Roanoke, VA.
The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $33.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
