Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician II in Doral, FL to design and prepare pipeline construction drawings and permit applications for moderate complexity projects up to $2M. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with design codes and standards.

The role involves sizing lines and components, collecting field data for GIS mapping, assisting with material procurement, and releasing drawing packages for scheduling while maintaining CAD

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Associate's degree preferred (Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related).
  • Basic CAD training or certification required.
  • 1 year of related experience required.
  • Standard Driver's license.
  • Knowledge: Materials, drafting software, basic civil surveying, construction principles, utility locating, electronic mapping, One-Call requirements.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, strong math skills.
  • Abilities: Work independently, interpret regulations, collaborate effectively.
