Job summary

McLaughlin Research Corporation seeks an Engineering Technician to assemble, repair, and maintain vehicle shells, buoys, and components in support of NUWC Keyport programs. The role includes cross-training across multiple technician areas and performing duties that may involve hazardous materials.

This full-time position located in Keyport, WA requires an active SECRET clearance, two years of industrial ops experience, and ability to work swing shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active SECRET clearance.
• At least two years of experience providing industrial operations support.
• Must be able to work a swing shift as required to support operational needs.
• Must be licensed and certified to operate 6,000 lb forklift and CAT III overhead crane.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal trainings and procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble or install equipment and parts requiring basic wiring or soldering.
• Perform routine tasks under supervision or per procedures; work reviewed in progress.
• Cross-train across Engineering Technician areas through rotations.
• Operate PPE and follow safety protocols; may include hazardous substances.
• Rotate roles within the cross-training program and support swing shift when needed.
• Provide support for bid and proposal efforts if requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
